Alzheimer’s Awareness Month in Sioux Lookout
January has been proclaimed Alzheimer’s Awareness Month in Sioux lookout.
The National Alzheimer’s flag was raised during a ceremony at the Municipal Office on Jan. 6.
The Municipality of Sioux Lookout shared, “January has been declared Alzheimer’s Awareness Month in Sioux lookout, with the aim being to reduce the stigma surrounding Alzheimer and dementia related diseases so that the barriers in our community can be removed. The Alzheimer Society’s goal is to convert judgement into compassion, and assumptions into understanding.”
