Arrest made after break and enter in Sioux Lookout

A 40-year-old from Kingfisher Lake First Nation has been charged with assault and breaking and entering after Ontario Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout received multiple calls for service regarding a suspicious person around Park Street and Fair Street at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 15.
The accused allegedly entered multiple residences and assault one individual.
As a result, the 40-year-old Kingfisher Lake First Nation resident was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
- Break, Enter dwelling house to commit indictable offence
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing on December 16, 2023, and released with a court date of January 16.
Police say that on December 17, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the accused was observed breaching conditions of their release order. As a result, the accused was arrested and charged with:
- Fail to comply with undertaking
- Fail to comply with release order
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing on December 18, 2023, and released with a court date of January 16.
