Assault investigation in Sioux Lookout

Sioux Lookout OPP are investigating after responding to a 911 call, along with North West Emergency Medical Services (EMS), at 11 Millar Crescent in Sioux Lookout on January 19, where police say they located one individual who had been assaulted with an edged weapon.
One individual was transported to hospital by EMS where they remain in stable condition.
Police say they do not believe there is any risk to public safety at this time, but advise there will be an increased presence of police in the area.
“The OPP reminds members of the public to be aware of their surroundings at all times and to report suspicious activity,” police shared.
