Calvary Baptist Church hosts Blueberry Festival events
Calvary Baptist Church was a busy place during this year’s Blueberry Festival.
The church hosted a vacation bible school attended by nearly 40 children, ran an escape room which sold out, hosted a pinewood derby with more than 70 cars, and put on a carnival complete with games, cotton candy, popcorn and slushies attended by more than 200 people.
Pastor Carter Krahn thanked local volunteers, along with volunteers from Kishwaukee Bible Church in Sycamore, Illinois for their help with the events.
“It was great to see people coming in from the community,” he said, adding the church was happy to be able to serve the community during the festival.
