Celebrating diversity
Students and staff at Sioux North High School celebrated the school’s diversity of cultures with a multicultural lunch on May 28 in the school’s cafetorium.
Organized by the school’s Food, Nutrition and Health class, Food and Culture class and Leadership class, staff and students prepared and shared approximately 40 dishes representing a variety of cultures.
The event, a longstanding tradition at Queen Elizabeth District High School, was carried over to the new school. “It really brings us all together and cultivates relationships,” shared Food, Nutrition and Health class teacher Kym Caldwell.
