Celebrating Hanukkah
Sioux Lookout’s Benjamin Goldstein shared this photo of an ice Hanukkiah (also known as a Menorah), which he and his family created at their Government Row home.
“It is a traditional Jewish religious artifact (usually made out of metal, not ice) which we light on the upcoming holiday of Hanukkah. It usually has candles. This one is made out of 200 ice bricks.” he shared, adding, “It is electric and connected to our home Wi-Fi network to automatically light another "candle" every night of the eight nights of Hanukkah (sometimes spelled Chanukah). Hanukkah starts the evening of December 22nd.”
