Celebrating mothers

Sioux Lookout’s Violence Action & Awareness Committee presented a Mother’s Day luncheon and crafting afternoon on May 11 at St. Andrew’s United Church.
Running from noon to 2 p.m., participants were invited to enjoy a light lunch while creating a one of a kind craft with a special woman in their life.
Sandwiches and treats were served and multiple door prizes were available to be won.
Sioux Lookout’s Violence Action & Awareness Committee includes: St. Andrew’s United Church, Northwestern Health Unit First Step Women’s Shelter, The Nishnawbe-Gamik Friendship Centre, Sunset Women’s Aboriginal Circle and Ah-shawah-bin Victim Support Services.
