Dick's Hideaway:
A new day and a promise

I looked out the kitchen door, and there was a new day, early September, silently peeking in. The air was cool, a few degrees, but not many, below normal.
Tree leaves have started their new colors, but not very many yet. I think that change is happening a little bit later than usual this year.
This new season looks to me as if it's entering quietly and tentatively. Once it gains a foothold, I'll watch for autumn to explode with goodness and wrap us in the finest ambience we've snuggled up to for many years.
This morning's sunrise, woven among the tree branches, rising silently with great beauty and promise, was a preview.
