DIY Rock Painting 

As part of the Blueberry Festival, the Travel Information Centre hosted a DIY Art in the Park: Rock Painting event under the big tent at the Travel Info Centre Park on August 4. 

Chamber of Commerce Executive Assistant Kayleigh Bates said, “Participants could stop by during the event hours to get creative with some paint and a rock of their choice.” She added, “Rock painting has become a popular hobby here in Sioux Lookout and that was further confirmed by a high level of participation in this event. Participants were also able to grab a freezie and some water to cool off after they had painted their rock. Some participants took their rocks home, while others added them to FIREFLY’s rock snake here in the park.”
