Entrepreneurs and small businesses gathered at the Legion for a Fall Market

The Sioux Lookout Chamber of Commerce held a Fall Market on Saturday October 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Upper Legion Hall.
The Chamber of Commerce used the event to support small businesses and local entrepreneurs.
The Upper Legion Hall was filled with a variety of businesses, many of them were local from Sioux Lookout, and others from the surrounding area.
Foraged North, based in Wabigoon, specializing in wild rice and teas, Mama Made Designs, specializing in custom glassware printing, Becky Crochet Kreations, specialized in crochets creations and custom orders were just some of the vendors who participated in the Fall Market. Other vendors included Rebecca and Friends, specialized in moccasins and indigenous wears and Watkins, specialized in gourmet spices.
Loving Suds, specializing in homemade soaps, came from Dryden. Business representative Niki Paterson shared, “I had a lovely first time in Sioux Lookout.” Dinsmore Originals a local business, specializing in crystals and metaphysical healing products, Scentsy Wickless, specializing in aroma scented products, and the Sioux Lookout Skating Club were in attendance. Rock Front Family Farms which is local, specializes in urban farming and offered microgreens and other foods. Huber’s Bavarian Meats, specializing in a variety of authentic German deli meats and sausages also attended the Fall Market.
Chamber member Christine Hoey shared, “The Chamber hosts the markets to allow home based business an affordable opportunity to showcase their products or services to the general public. The Chamber promotes the markets to our residents to get people to the downtown core shopping, socializing and supporting local small business.”
The Sioux Lookout Chamber of Commerce is an active group of businesses and professionals that contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of Sioux Lookout and surrounding area.

A Winter Market is scheduled for December 17 to help people with their holiday shopping.
