Incumbent Kenora—Kiiwetinoong MP Eric Melillo has been named the Conservative Party of Canada’s candidate for the riding in the 45th general election, currently scheduled to be held on October 20th, 2025.
“It has been an honour to serve residents in northwestern Ontario as MP for the Kenora riding for the last five years,” Melillo stated.
Melillo, who will be seeking his third term in office, has served as Member of Parliament for the riding since 2019.
“I am proud to be part of our Conservative team that is holding this NDP-Liberal government to account and is working to bring common sense back to Ottawa,” Melillo added. “If re-elected as MP, I will continue to stand up for the concerns of residents and be our voice in Ottawa.”
Melillo says he hears from residents regularly about how difficult life has become under the current government. “After 9 years of this NDP-Liberal government, hardworking Canadians are struggling just to afford basic necessities,” said Melillo. “I believe in Pierre Poilievre’s leadership and his common sense plan to axe the carbon tax, build the homes, fix the budget and stop the crime.”
“Only a Conservative government will right this ship and put Canadians back in control of their lives, build affordable homes, lower prices by capping inflationary spending and bring home safe streets.”
