Frigid beauty

Sioux Lookout and area residents were treated to a total lunar eclipse during the late evening hours of Jan. 20 and the early morning hours of Jan. 21.

Those who ventured outdoors for a better view braved minus 30 degree Celsius temperatures as Sioux Lookout, and much of the area, have been under an extended extreme cold warning, which has seen the temperature drop to minus 40 degrees Celsius and lower.
