NAN leaders sign suicide prevention agreement
The results of the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation (NAN) Youth Forum on suicide have not been forgotten. The report, which was released last July revealing a decade-long suicide epidemic in NAN territory communities, is the impetus for a new agreement signed yesterday between NAN officials and federal and provincial government representatives.

Effective January 1, 1997, smoking was no longer permitted in Buddha’s restaurant by those under nineteen years of age.
