Two citizens honored
Garnet Angeconeb and Peggy Sanders were singled out last week to receive Queens Golden Jubilee Medals in recognition of their many years of service in Sioux Lookout and Lac Seul. Among a long list of individual achievements, both Sanders and Angeconeb were noted as driving forces in the establishment of this area’s first race relations committee in 1989.
