Mock disaster exercise tests preparedness plans
It’s something everyone hopes will never happen, yet must be fully prepared for. On May 11 the Sioux Lookout airport, along with various municipal departments, airlines, ambulance, fire department, OPP and the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre conducted a mock disaster exercise to test their emergency plans.

More needs to be done to encourage aboriginal students to pursue careers within the medical profession. This recurring theme was spoken several times during a symposium held by the Northern Ontario School of Medicine in Sioux Lookout May 5 at the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre Fifth Avenue site.
