About 50 people filled a classroom inside Hudson Public School Oct. 29 worried that Hudson is seriously threatened by the loss of its only existing school.

Smoke-Free bylaws have residents fuming on both sides
The topic of smoking in public places seemed to have people fuming on both sides of the fence. About 40 people, including four councilors, turned up at the Oct. 28 public meeting held at the Knights of Columbus Hall to discuss the Municipality of Sioux Lookout’s two draft bylaws to create smoke-free public places and workplaces.

Town’s plowing crews prepared to tackle another white winter
Mario Rasetti and his crew of snowplowers are in a pickle. “On the one hand we’re civil servants and our job is to serve the public,” said the veteran roads worker and public works manager for the Municipality of Sioux Lookout since 1995. “On the other hand, we’re having their vehicles towed away.”
