Stumpage fee change
The Ministry of Natural Resources last week announced stumpage fee changes for timber destined for sawmills and pulp mills. When the favourable exchange rate for the Canadian dollar is considered, Ontario softwood lumber is being sold in the U.S. at $430 Canadian per 1,000 board feet.
