Sioux Lookout dive club revitalization in the works
If all goes to plan, Sioux Lookouters will soon be able to experience a different perspective – looking up from the bottom of one of the area’s many lakes. Erin Ewaniuk and Chuck Abela are working together to bring Sioux Lookout’s former scuba club back to life.

Lighting the night for World Suicide Prevention Day
Sioux Lookout offered light and love to those affected by suicide during a walk and candlelight vigil September 10, marking World Suicide Prevention Day. The walk was part of the International Association for Suicide Prevention Cycle Around the Globe event.

Colour for a cause
Approximately 30 participants took part in the second annual Warrior’s Colour Run September 12. The event was a fundraiser for the Queen Elizabeth District High School Warrior’s girls hockey program. The five kilometre run or walk along the Umfreville Trail started and finished at the Travel Information Centre. Pictured: Knowles McGill completes the colour run with his granddaughter Chaley Thompson.
