Long term care reform

A public Consultation Paper was released in October by the Ministry of Community and Social Services, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Citizenship.  The paper, entitled “Redirection of Long Term Care and Support Services”, provides a look at how health care for the disabled and elderly will look by the year 2000.

Santa Claus is coming to Town

The Santa Claus Parade will be held next Saturday, beginning at the High School at 11:30 a.m.  This year’s parade was spear-headed by the Sioux Lookout Rotary Club, in co-operation with the Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club.
