“It’s been a fantastic day.” That’s how Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club (SLGCC) Staff Supervisor/Events Coordinator Christina Davis summed up the first day of golf season on May 11.
The course was busy throughout the day she said.
Temporary greens are in place on several holes she shared, “Unfortunately the winter did hurt some of our greens. Six of the nine are not usable currently. We are offering a 20% discount on green fees until they are usable.”
Commenting on this year’s golf season, Davis shared, “We do have a few more sets of golf club rentals so more people can rent clubs if they want to try it out.”
She added, “I am hoping to have a his and hers twilight on Friday evenings so couples, friends, can come out… I do know some couples do enjoy going out golfing together, so that is going to be something new.”
For club memberships and 10 passes, Davis said people can drop by the clubhouse at 87 3rd Avenue.
People can stay up to date on club happenings through the club’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
