Hazardous Waste collection

Another successful Municipal Hazardous or Special Waste Collection Event has come and gone in Sioux Lookout. The collection took place Saturday, Sept. 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and saw residents able to dispose of household hazardous waste at the Public Works Garage. Turnout was steady with approximately 148 residents taking advantage of the service. 12.9 tonnes of hazardous waste was collected, a significant increase over last year’s total of 7.1 tonnes.
