With two successful shows already this season, the Kids Kaleidoscope Entertainment Series is preparing to present its third show on March 25.
The children’s entertainment series presented Tanglewood Marionettes presentation of “The Dragon King” at Sioux Mountain Public School on Nov. 20, 2023.
Kids Kaleidoscope Entertainment Series Board Members Nancy McCord and Shannon Brody said both shows were wonderful and well received.
“The puppetry and set were first class,” McCord said of the show presented by Tanglewood Marionettes. “The movement of the characters showed so much emotion. I have had many adults and children approach me this week in person and by messenger to comment on how the puppetry exceeded any and all expectations they had. We hope to have them again in the future.”
“I would concur with that,” Brody said. “The storyline was unique, with the grandmother as the main protagonist, well thought out and executed. The kids really got into the story.”
On March 6, the Kids Kaleidoscope Entertainment Series presented Arch8’s “Tetris” at Calvary Baptist Church.
“I thought the show was fabulous, their skill in executing their moves was too notch. The fact that they included the audience in the show was just awesome, I have heard nothing but great reviews on the show,” Brody said.
“A lot of families attended their first Kids Kaleidoscope show and were amazed at how captivated their children were. Arch8’s performance kept everyone entertained throughout the show, and it was a fun experience for everyone as they interacted with the performers and shared many laughs,” McCord said.
Dorothy Broderick, another Kids Kaleidoscope Board Member, shared, “I was unable to attend, but I do know that the artists enjoyed Sioux Lookout, our audience and the opportunity to stay at Donnelly’s Minnitaki Lodge. For our next show we are presenting Strada Productions - The Merry Marching Band - A band of music makers traveling the world and even Planet Mars! coming to our stage on March 25th.”
