Kitchen Table Real Estate:
How Local Realtors are helping Buyers and Sellers during COVID-19
Joseph Kateb
Real Estate Agents are working hard to make sure people who need to buy or sell property during the pandemic get quality service while minimizing health risks.
Going forward, technology is going to play an increasing role in Real Estate. Offers, negotiations and signatures can all be done electronically, which decreases the need for in-person meetings.
You’re going to see lot more virtual tours: 3600 and panoramic video that will allow buyers to see a home from every angle as if they were there. Video walk-throughs, where an Agent uses a phone to do a live tour of a home with the potential buyers watching and asking questions, are also likely to increase in popularity. Virtual open houses streamed on platforms like Facebook are coming in the near future too.
These approaches, combined with a trend to pre-qualifying buyers, mean that there’s better chance of finding the right fit with fewer people actually entering the home for sale.
Overall, the industry remains optimistic. The vision of most experts is that there is going to be a bit of a pent-up demand for real estate by the summer.
Like many of you, we’re anxiously waiting for a “return to normalcy,” but understand it’s going to take time.
Stay healthy, happy and well.
