Lac Seul man charged with impaired driving

A Lac Seul First Nation man is facing impaired driving charges after members of the Lac Seul Police Service were called to investigate a traffic complaint on the Hudson ice road shortly after 5:30 p.m. on March 10.
As a result of their investigation, the 46-year-old man was charged with Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs and Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
He is scheduled to appear in Lac Seul Court on Wednesday, March 27, to answer to the charges.
His vehicle was impounded for seven days and his licence was suspended for 90 days under the Provincial VIP Program.
In a news release, Lac Seul Police Service reiterated their commitment to keeping local roadways, waterways and trails safe.
