Lac Seul Police Service Report:
LSPS lay a charge under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMCPA)
(LAC SEUL, ON) - On Monday April 27, 2020 the Lac Seul Police Service were dispatched to a house party in Frenchman's Head. Police attended and discovered a large number of people within the home. Police exercised their discretion and warned the home owner under EMCPA.
On Wednesday April 29, 2020 the Lac Seul Police Service re-attended the same home for another party. Police discovered a large number of people within the residence.
As a result, the LSPS charged a 43 year old female for "Failing to Comply with an Order under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act" (EMCPA) in relation to the number of occupants in her residence, which was an $880 offence notice.
The LSPS advises the public to stay home and avoid non-essential travel and follow the Ontario Ministry of Health's recommendations to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
