Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics
Approximately 70 participants, local OPP officers, Community Living Dryden – Sioux Lookout staff and clients, as well as members of the community, took part in this year’s Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics on June 17.
Starting from Farlinger Park (town beach) participants had the choice of walking one kilometre or running five kiometres.
Proceeds raised, nearly $2000, will support Special Olympics Canada.
A participants BBQ followed the run or walk.
Held in collaboration with the Municipality of Sioux Lookout, Community Living Dryden – Sioux Lookout and Fresh Market Foods were partners in the event.
