Letter to the Editor

A poem
Regarding the February 1984, earthquake in the Sioux Lookout and Lac Seul areas and the plan of the NWMO to bury nuclear waste in an earthquake zone, a poem:

Everyone woke
In the midst of 
the quake
As the earth below 
trembled
Through the shift and 
the shake
And it broke the needle
And everyone knew
The bedrock was faulty
And this to be true
Groundwater is a river
That flows through 
the Earth
And carries the future
For better or worse
To bury the nukes
In an earthquake zone
Is too crazy for 
anyone sane to condone!
