Back In Time: Exploring Sioux Lookout
I recall my memories of Juanita Briones at QEDHS. Every day, she would greet me with a warm smile, and I would say bye to her and her husband if he were around as the custodian before leaving for the bus. Juanita’s kindness helped me in troubling times. Even Gert Orcoyen would say she saw my parents at Bingo, and I was happy every time Gert mentioned it. Wiebe’s class was always excellent, primarily when Trudy taught us about the Dionne Quintuplets. Sakomoto and I often conversed about current events or kept up-to-date on the latest news. I also loved Ed Newman’s class when he would ramble about his life story and forget the lesson. Darlene Pike was a great homeroom teacher. Thank you to all the teachers and staff at QEDHS, especially Anne Hogan, Michelle Nelson, and Jackie Hoey, for making my time unforgettable.

It was great to be in Kenora and Dryden to attend the Santa Claus parades. It's always a pleasure to see such strong community and Christmas spirit and so many people out to celebrate the season...
