Candidates’ forums - Re: Mike Quince letter

You make some intelligent points, Mike.
Regarding candidates' forums, many formats are possible, each offering valuable information to the electorate. Questions drawn from a hat at recent forums were asked by attendees as they entered the forum room. They were important to the people who asked, and many others as well.
You should know that most of the forums in the last few elections, federal, provincial, and municipal, were organized by individual citizens who stepped in when organizations that used to sponsor these important events failed to do so.
Rather than denigrate the citizens and platforms that provided these opportunities (often at their own expense) I suggest that you set up, organize, and provide an event that pleases you.
