Letter to the Editor:
Federal Election September 2021
According to the Canadian Charter of Rights, every citizen of Canada has the right to vote in an election. The Charter protects the right of each citizen to play a meaningful role in the electoral process.
In order to exercise this privilege and make that ballot meaningful, we need to take the time to inform ourselves of the various political platforms, but also to meet the candidates and to become informed as to what he/she plans to bring to the House of Commons, if elected.
Due to COVID restrictions, an All Candidates’ Forum is planned for Friday September 10th at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.
The candidates will share their platforms and then answer questions from the public via the moderator Dick MacKenzie. Due to this format, questions need to be sent in advance to both Dick MacKenzie [email protected] AND Anne Saltel [email protected].
Questions will be accepted up to 4 p.m. on September 10th.
If you wish to attend the Forum, please apply to Anne Saltel [email protected] for the Zoom link.
We hope to see you there.
Respectfully submitted,
Anne Saltel
