Kapatagan & Sioux Lookout: sister towns?

I have a proposal for the Council of Sioux Lookout to recognize Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, as a sister town due to the influence of Filipino culture in our town. 
There are currently over 140 Filipino residents in our town, and they contribute to our economy, culture, and society in many ways and often face some of the same challenges that many of us face. It is for these reasons that it would be suitable for our town to recognize Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, as a sister town. Our town already has many strong ties with the Philippines, and recognizing Kapatagan would further enhance these connections. In conclusion, I strongly urge the town council of Sioux Lookout to consider the benefits of identifying Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, as a sister town.
