Roundabout rules
The drivers in this town of Sioux lookout need to obey the rules of the road, especially concerning the newly built roundabout.
As vehicles begin to enter the round- a- bout, there is a YIELD sign. That means that the driver can only enter the circle IF the way is clear, stopping if needed, before continuing on. The vehicle in the circle always has the right of way and DOES NOT have to stop to let those vehicles trying to enter the circle.
I am tired of having to slam on my brakes to avoid crashing into those vehicles trying to get into the circle in front of me.
Living near the roundabout, I have seen many close calls and am amazed that an accident has not happened as of yet. Honking your horn does not seem to make a difference and my neighbours continue to hear those horns on many occasions.
If you are a driver, old or new, you need to learn to obey all road signs and be a little more aware of what is on the road whether vehicles, bikes, or pedestrians.
