The Sioux Lookout Lions Club collected 30 bags of garbage in under two hours along Highway 642 on May 26.
Six Lions and one Lion friend took part in the clean up effort.
Sioux Lookout Lions Club President Chris Larsh explained the club plans a highway clean up every year and said this section of highway, “is a stretch of road that collects a lot of trash blowing out of vehicles on their way to the landfill.”
The club has entered their efforts in the Sioux Lookout Chamber of Commerce’s Take Pride Community Wide clean up event, which has been extended to June 15.
