Local businesses are accepting donations for the Sioux Lookout Food Bank this month to help ensure everyone’s holiday season is a little brighter and merrier.
The Red Brick Cafe is holding their 2nd Annual Christmas Food Drive from December 9 - 13. Sioux Lookout Food Bank Manager Amanda Landgraff shared, “Anyone who brings in a non-perishable food item or monetary donation for the food bank that week will receive a free drip coffee!”
Fresh Market Foods is collecting monetary donations for the Food Bank at the tills until December 14.
The Hub Collective is offering customers the opportunity to add a donation to the food bank when they pay for their items.
This is the second year that Fresh Market Foods and The Hub Collective have held these collection initiatives for the Sioux Lookout Food Bank.
Landgraff shared, “Several businesses in town have provided donation boxes for their staff to bring in food donations this month. December is a time when many people look for ways to help the community, and we’re so thankful that many remember the food bank in their generosity.”
Landgraff added, “It is so encouraging to have the ongoing support of our community!”
“Every donation given will help someone right here in our own community. Anyone who wishes to make a donation of food can drop it off at one of the donation bins we have at Fresh Market Foods, Giant Tiger or the Red Apple. For anyone who wants a receipt for a financial donation, they can donate by email transfer to [email protected],” Landgraff concluded.
