The importance of friendship and acceptance will be key themes as Northern Lights Community Theatre (NLCT) presents “The Nose Glows!” this Saturday.
Adapted by NLCT from Susan Powers’ original script, a group of 17 local children have been hard at work since mid-October practicing to present this adaptation of the story of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
Featuring both acting and singing, the production will have a run time of approximately
30 minutes.
The performance will take place in the Sioux North High School Cafetorium on Nov. 25 with two show times: 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door. Children three and under get in free.
Director Hilary Hardeman said of choosing the play, “I thought Rudolph was a great story and I really liked the original script. It was easy to adapt and to put in songs for the children’s chorus and it had lots of really cute moments in it, so that’s the reason that I chose it.”
Hardeman shared, “The kids are really breaking out of their shells and having a good time with it.”
