LSPS seize $11,600 worth of suspected crystal meth in drug trafficking investigation

Two Sioux Lookout residents have been charged following an investigation into drug trafficking in Hudson. Lac Seul Police Service (LSPS) shared in a media release, “The Lac Seul Police Service made 2 arrests during a traffic stop. This led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Hudson ON. The LSPS seized $11,600 of suspected Crystal Meth, along with cash and drug paraphernalia.”
LSPS conducted the investigation on October 23 with the assistance of the Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
According to a LSPS media release, LSPS believes the drugs were being distributed in the Lac Seul First Nation and Sioux Lookout areas.
As a result of the investigation, the LSPS arrested and charged two Sioux Lookout residents:
Shaun Gibson, 42, has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking- 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of a Controlled Substance- 4(1) CDSA
- Fail to Comply with Release Order- 145(5)(a) CC
- Fail to Comply with Release Order- 145(5)(a) CC
Darell Lewis, 48, has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking- 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of a
- Controlled Substance- 4(1) CDSA
Gibson was held in custody for a bail hearing on October 26.
Lewis was released with an appearance date in Sioux Lookout Court on Dec. 1 to answer the charges.
None of the charges have been proven in court.
