In Loving Memory of Andy Chukra
April 26, 1947 - September 4, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, brother, son,uncle, loving husband and friend. Andrew Roy Chukra passed away on September 4th with family by his side. Andrew Roy Chukra was born April 26th 1947 to the parents of William and Olga Chukra in Fort Frances Ontario but spent most of his life growing up in Hudson Ontario. Andrew is predeceased by his parents William and Olga and Sisters Julie and Beverly Chukra. He is also predeceased by brothers Jerry and Terry Chukra. Also predeceased by son Neil and Daughter Deidre. He spent most of his life working in the sawmill and bush work and some short time driving mining truck in British Columbia. Andrew is survived by wife Margaret of 57 years, and daughter Alison (Ted) sons Dale, John, Eric (Arlene) Riel. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Andrew loved camping with the family, fishing, hunting or just tinkering around the yard working on whatever brought him happiness. The family would like to thank all the paramedics, hospital staff at Meno Ya Win Hospital in Sioux Lookout who took such good care. A cremation has taken place and a Celebration Of Life will be held on a later date.
