WENDY ALMA MAY LACHINETTE 

June 29th, 1980-July 21st, 2022

It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family of Wendy Alma May Lachinette announce her unexpected passing on Thursday July 21, 2022 at the age of 42 years.

Wendy will be lovingly remembered by her spouse (partner) of 17 years, Steve Nadeau, her children, Clinton (Kayla), Elyssa (Graham), Kody, and Daniel. Wendy will also be remembered by her parents Gord and Rita Campbell, and Mary Ann Lachnette, by her brothers Butch, Banjo (Camilla), Tommy (Leona), Peter (Allison), Robert Therrien, Elijah, and Wayne (Ashley), her sisters Krista (Carl), Larissa (Kyle), and Michelle (Alex), as well as by countless other family members and friends.

Wendy was born in Sioux Lookout, ON on June 29, 1980 and spent the majority of her life living there. She worked for G&R taxi, and was a hardworking and dedicated employee. All who knew her appreciated her love and compassion for others, her smile, her laugh, and most of all her fierce and determined spirit. She was a much loved and respected member of the community. Wendy loved spending time outside, camping, fishing, dolphins, and the colour purple. Her happiest times were spent with her family and friends, and most gatherings were hosted at her house. She was beyond excited that Steve and her had just bought their first home together. Wendy”s children were the light of her life, and her greatest accomplishment. She was an amazing mom whose love, devotion, support, and most of all pride for her kids was unwavering. Her legacy will live on through the many lessons she has taught them. 

Wendy will be forever defined by her incredible bravery, strength, resilience, and acceptance of all that she had to endure due to her various illnesses over the years. 

A service to honour Wendy will be held on Monday July 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at Sioux Lookout Funeral Home.
