Obituary - Denis Patrick Gabriel Love 

1932 - 2020

On December 6, 2020, after a full life filled with many accomplishments and adventures, died peacefully at home in Victoria, B.C. 

He was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, the sixth child of Norah and Benson Love.  He is survived by June, his wife of 66 years, 3 children: Kim, Maureen (Robin)and Mitchell; his grandchildren Edward, Amy (Curtis),Christopher(Shawna), Richard, Alicia; and “the greats” Simon, Charlotte, Ellie and Marcus.

His interests were varied and began with his love of flying (22 years in the RCAF) and included west coast sailing, boatbuilding, social justice, classical music, (where he included Johnny Cash) and travel.  Family and friends will miss his ability to fix anything, converse on any topic and for driving his wheelchair much too fast in his VicWest neighbourhood. He will be remembered for his willingness to help with any project and for his kindness to children. To honour Denis’ request for no service, a family gathering will take place next summer to scatter his ashes.
