Sioux Lookout’s annual Moonlight Madness event welcomed people to support community businesses and shop local for extended hours this year, between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on November 27.
Presented by The Sioux Lookout Chamber of Commerce, the local shopping event featured 13 participating businesses, all offering shoppers an opportunity to check items off their Christmas lists.
Chamber of Commerce Executive Assistant, Kayleigh Bates shared, “I think the event went well despite the chilly weather! Customers were properly lined up to enter the stores where the number of shoppers was limited. And I saw lots of masks! I personally went out to pick up some Christmas gifts during the event and was encouraged to see the community out and about supporting our local businesses.”
Bates explained that the extended hours were to reduce crowd sizes at any given time and, “just to give people more time to get out and shop.”
