“Brunch went over well. We were really, really impressed,” shared Legion Ladies Auxiliary President Charron Sippola of a Mother’s Day Brunch hosted by the Auxiliary on May 12 in the Upper Legion Hall of the Royal Canadian Legion Edwin Switzer Memorial Branch 78.
Pancakes, sausage and bacon, fruit, juice, and coffee/tea were served.
“The food was great, the support from the community was awesome,” she added.
The Legion Ladies Auxiliary also drew for the winners of their Mother’s Day Draw.
Winning first prize was Greg Olson. Clara Young won second prize, and Troy Stechgard won third prize.
Proceeds from the draw will be donated to the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre to support the purchase of a new MRI unit for the hospital as well as for upgrades to the Legion.
