Mother’s Day Pancake Lunch

Approximately 80 people attended a Mother’s Day Pancake Lunch on May 9 at St. Andrew’s United Church hosted by Sioux Lookout’s Violence Action & Awareness Committee.
Geneva Sainnawap, Executive Director, Ah-shawah-bin Sioux Lookout/Lac Seul Victim Support Services shared, “People were able to come in and have a light lunch of pancakes and have the opportunity to create family or single portraits. And while people awaited their turn, they were able to create and design their own picture frames for the pictures they took, making it more special.”
Sainnawap further commented, “The VAAC committee recognizes all mothers of Sioux Lookout, and this is our way of bringing them together to share stories, listen, laugh, and learn new things.  With excellent teamwork, this event couldn’t have been successful without the members of the VAAC.  Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.”
