Motorcyclists collect Toys for Tots

The Sioux Lookout HOG (Harley Owners Group) Chapter’s annual Toys for Tots event took place last Saturday, with local and area motorcyclists collecting new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations at the Sioux Lookout Travel Information Centre.
“Because Santa is not in town this weekend because of restrictions, we’re just here to gather toys for him,” explained Chapter Director Rick Jaworski.
Donations were given to the Nishnawbe-Gamik Friendship Centre for their Christmas Hamper Program.
The event, Jaworski said, is about supporting
the community.
He added that anyone who would like to support the Toys For Tots initiative can still do so by contacting the Friendship Centre, or himself at Aztak Auto, about making a donation.
“It was a great year for motorcycling. The pandemic didn’t stop us from getting out there,” he concluded.
The Toys For Tots event officially brings the Chapter’s season on the road to a close.
