Multiple charges laid against individual from Sioux Lookout following report of stolen truck

A 32-year-old Sioux Lookout resident is facing multiple charges after police say the individual stole a motor vehicle from a residence in town.
Police shared in a media release issued on the Ontario Provincial Police – North West Region Facebook page, “On March 21, 2024, officers from the Sioux Lookout OPP, Dryden OPP, and Lac Seul Police Service collaborated to respond to a report of a stolen truck. Through public reports of aggressive driving and responses to a Facebook post issued by the OPP, officers safely located the vehicle.”
Following investigation, a 32 year old from Sioux Lookout was arrested and charged with:
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle
- Two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Fail To Comply with Release Order

Police noted.
