Municipality of Sioux Lookout seeking public input on Municipal Services Delivery Review
Tim Brody - Editor
The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is seeking input from the public.
The Municipality retained the services of KPMG to undertake a Municipal Services Delivery Review, Budget Review and Operational Review.
According to The Municipality, “The purpose of these Reviews is to analyze its operations, the intention of which is to find ways to improve customer service, enhance operating efficiencies and to ensure value-for-money for taxpayers. As part of the review, the Municipality is seeking input from residents with respect to their views on the Municipality’s services. This survey is confidential and will be used to identify areas of priority for the community, as well as to provide input that will be considered in the evaluation of potential changes.”
“This Review is being funded through the “one-time” funding provided by the Province of Ontario in 2019,” explained Municipal CAO, Michelle Larose, adding, “the results and a series of recommendations will be presented to Council prior to the end of the year.”
The Municipality explained that, “At this point in the process (which has been ongoing for several months), KPMG is reaching out to the community to obtain feedback on the various programs and services offered by the Municipality, including assessing overall satisfaction with both the services it provides, as well as the means by which the services are delivered.”
Members of the public can complete the survey, which is available online: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Municipality_of_Sioux_Lookout.
Hard copies of the survey will also be available at the Municipal Office.
The survey will be open between November 3rd and November 16th.
“The input received from the community will also inform Council’s budget deliberations for 2021,” Larose concluded.
