Municipality seeking Hudson residents’ feedback regarding potential new community centre

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is asking Hudson residents for input regarding the Lost Lake Drop-in Centre and the possibility of a establishing a new community centre.
According to The Municipality of Sioux Lookout, “The Lost Lake Drop-in Centre is an aging facility, which requires annual maintenance and repair to ensure it continues to be safe for use. Council directed to maintain status quo, and make repairs on the centre as needed, continue to monitor the condition of the building until such time that it is unsafe to occupy and to direct staff to complete research on options for constructing a new community centre in Hudson.”
A survey has been developed for Hudson residents. According to the Municipality, it should take about 10 minutes to complete. The survey seeks to obtain input from Hudson residents such as how many times a member of their household visited the Lost Lake Drop-in Centre in the last one to three years, would members of their household visit a new community centre, what types of activities they would like to see in a potential new community centre, and “To ensure that community recreation, social and leisure needs are better met through the development of a Community Centre in Hudson, are you willing to pay additional property taxes?”
According to The Municipality of Sioux Lookout, survey responses, “will help inform future decisions regarding the Lost Lake Drop-in Centre.”

The survey is also available in hard copy at the Municipal Office Customer Service Desk.

The completed survey can also be dropped off at the Municipal Office, located at 25 Fifth Ave, Sioux Lookout, ON.
The deadline for receipt of completed surveys is August 2.
