Municipality seeking public input on municipal boat launches

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is seeking public input on the future of its boat launch facilities.
The Municipality is inviting all residents to participate in a survey that will help guide the planning and improvement of the Municipally operated boat launches in the community.
“Your feedback is essential to ensure that these facilities meet the needs of the community and those who enjoy the many lakes and waterways Sioux Lookout has to offer,” the Municipality shared in a Sept. 20 media release.
“The survey will be open from Friday, September 20th to Wednesday, October 2nd, and will take just a few minutes to complete. This is an opportunity for residents and visitors to provide valuable input on areas they would like the Municipality to focus on moving forward, such as access, safety, and amenities at the nine Municipally operated boat launches. The results of this survey will be used to prioritize upgrades and ensure that Sioux Lookout remains a top destination for boating and outdoor recreation,” the Municipality further informed.
People can take part in the survey online at https://slkt.me/PublicBoatLaunch or scan the QR code available on posters around town or at the Town Office and Recreation Centre.
“We are committed to improving the quality of our recreational facilities, and public input is a vital part of that process,” said Meredith Culham, Manager of Recreation and Culture. “We encourage everyone who uses the boat launches to share their thoughts by October 2nd.”
Assistance completing the survey, for those who require it, is available by contacting the Recreation Centre at 807-737-1994.
