NorWOSSA gold medal champions!

The Sioux North High School junior boys’ basketball team turned in a golden performance on Valentine’s Day, defeating the Atikokan High School Voyagers 71-58 at the NorWOSSA championship in Kenora. Hosted by St. Thomas Aquinas High School, the senior boys’ basketball and senior girls’ volleyball teams from Sioux North High School also competed at the Northwestern Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association championship. The senior girls’ team was defeated in semi-final action by the Atikokan High school Voyageurs, who went on to win gold. The senior boys’ basketball team was defeated 61-49 by the Atikokan High School Voyageurs in the championship game.
