NWHU encouraging people to get the flu shot

The Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) says it expects to see many people getting their flu shot this fall. The health unit advises that flu shots are available locally from some pharmacies, health care providers, and NWHU.
“The public is encouraged to get their flu shot from a pharmacy or health care provider, or, in November from NWHU. In December, NWHU staff will be primarily focusing on COVID-19 vaccinations,” the health unit advised in an Oct. 29 media release.
People can book their flu shot by contacting their local pharmacy or health care provider, or by visiting the health unit’s booking website at: https://clinicreservation.com/book-now. NWHU shared that more clinics will be added to the booking site as vaccine supply is received.
