OPP investigating fire in Queen Street area

Damage from a fire last Thursday morning in the area of the west end of Queen Street was limited to a garage and woodshed and there were no injuries as a result of the fire, according to police.
Sioux Lookout OPP were dispatched to the scene at approximately 9 a.m. and were met by members of the Sioux Lookout Fire Department. The fire was contained and extinguished.
Police shared in a Nov. 18 news release that, “The cause of the fire is undetermined and is currently under investigation by the Sioux Lookout OPP and the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management (OFMEM).”
Police are asking anyone with information related to this fire to contact the OPP Provincial Communication Centre at 1-888-310-1122.
Should people wish to remain anonymous, they may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where they may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
